The Plains of Unlucky Steps are the edge of the know world to the Abydonians on the planet of Abydos.
Appearance[]
The Plains of Unlucky Steps stretch as far and wide as the eyes can see nobody has ever managed to make any real headway into it and those who do are considered crazy for trying. The are very sandy and dusty and an extremely obvious tripping and dying hazard.
Geography[]
The Plains of Unlucky steps are located at a 6 to 7 hours walk from the Temple of Ra.
History[]
Millions of Years ago a giant barrage of comets hit the planet severely beating the left side of the planet leaving behind this giant plain of craters which the Abydonians call the Plains of Unlucky Steps for obvious reasons.
Not many have ever ventured here even less have returned from going there, it is something which most Abydonians only ever hear about as a strange dangrous place not to go to as children.
The Plains of Unlucky Steps were destroyed along with the rest of the planet in 2003 when Anubis blew it up.
Ecology[]
The Plains of Unlucky Steps are utterly devoid of any life and generally nobody ever goes there.
Culture[]
The Plains of Unlucky Steps held cultural significance as the end of the world and the beginning of death, for none who venture there to far have every returned.
